Salisbury – a beautiful city with the magnificent cathedral, the tallest spire in the UK, dominating the views from any entrance to the town. The shopping is excellent and there is a thriving market every Tuesday and Saturday. Not far outside is Wilton, famous for its carpets, now famous for its shopping village where the carpets used to be made, and for Wilton House home of the 18th Earl of Pembroke.
